Preface

The purpose of this book is to give a fuller biblical explanation for the post Jesus Christ Has Already Come Again from the blog A Scriptural Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.   If you have not already read that post, please do so before beginning this book.

The title of this book comes from the martyr Stephen’s address to the Jewish Council (or, Sanhedrin) recorded in Acts 7 and, specifically, from Acts 7:40 where he quotes Exodus 32:1 (NASB) in which the Israelites are pressing Aaron to make an idol for them (which turned out to be the golden calf).  Their justification was “…as for this Moses…we do not know what has become of him.”  This book was written so that no one might say of Jesus what they said of Moses.

When you finish this book, you will have a clear understanding of the Bible’s teaching on the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.  You will be able to give a straightforward answer to anyone who asks about it.

There is no need to wonder what became of Jesus Christ.  He is God Almighty and reigns supreme over and through all creation.  “In Him we live and move and exist” (Acts 17:28 NASB).

In order to achieve its purpose, this book incorporates quotations of – not merely references to – Bible verses.  This is a departure from the way I normally write in my blogs, which is to simply cite chapter and verse and let the reader use his own Bible – whatever the translation.  While I claim no copyright for anything I write my blogs (and this book is no exception), English Bibles are copyrighted (even the King James Version) – hence the notice I am required to give below, and the similar notations I give throughout the text whenever I have reproduced the text of this translation.  You are free to copy anything of mine you want (see the end of the About section where I have waived all copyrights, but you do not have the same liberty where the Bible verses are concerned.

  1. DT says:

    First question:
You say that Jesus is God Almighty and then cite Acts 17:28. How is this proof Jesus is God Almighty?

Acts 17:30-31 – In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.”

    • Mike Gantt says:

I do not offer Acts 17:28 as proof that Jesus is God Almighty. Rather, I use it to describe the realm Jesus has assumed, which was promised in Acts 17:30-31. That is, God promised a day in which He would judge the world with justice by a man whom He appointed. It turned out that the man was Jesus Christ. And it turned out that this Jesus Christ was God. That’s what was demonstrated in the Second Coming, about which you are just beginning to read.

  2. John says:

You are absolutely correct about this and only God could have showed you. Because for one;Jesus himself said In a little while I go away, and in a little while I’ll come again. He was right on the money. The “little while” was exactly what he meant. He said things plain as day and yet people refuse to see it because of unbelief. John 14:16-20 explains in detail what was about to take place and what will happen when he comes again, which he did on the day of Pentecost. He comes to us all the time because his lives in US and we are seated with him in heavenly places(higher realms of the Spirit in him)! Christ in us the hope of Glory. Everyone isn’t alive yet, but everyone at some point will be alive in Christ. “In Adam all died, in Christ ALL will be made alive.”

In John 14:18 He says, ” I will not leave you comfortless:I will COME to YOU.” And he did just like he does to everyone who simply believes that he is. People are out there looking for some natural, literal event where Jesus comes hanging out on some literal clouds, calls us all home to some distant million mile away planet called heaven where God sits on a literal throne. When his throne is within us. His kingdom is within us because We are his temple, his house where he dwells. If people would get a hold of that they would surely awaken and their eyes)understanding) would be opened. It is a spiritual thing that happens on the inside of us. The clouds are US! And we will all forever be with him.

We are earth(dust of the ground) and heaven is within us(where God dwells). His righteousness, peace and joy and every good thing because of him who lives in us. God himself lives in us. People want to see naturally and the carnal mind will never see anything because it cannot. Only your understanding being enlightened by God himself will one truly see. He is the resurrection and the life. The resurrection is not an event it is PERSON. He raises the dead every day the one;s who become alive in him. Yes, he can literally raises the dead, but that does nothing. People are waiting for him to literally split the sky and come save everyone from the evil around us. But he isn’t going to do that.

People don’t like it, but everyone goes back to God. Ecclesiastes says so”The dust goes back to the earth and the spirit goes back to God who gave it.” All this other mumbo jumbo about hell was never taught by Jesus or the prophets of old or God himself. Hell means the grave. Jesus came to save ALL. God knew exactly what he was doing. He saved us from our self and we can live an abundant life in this life, not in the sweet by and by. I’m not talking about living perfect, or you’ll never have troubles. He said to choose this day life or death. One can live out this life living in the hell they created by their carnal mindset or they can live life that in the spirit that Jesus taught which was the true good news. We are forgiven, God is not mad at anyone. His judgement is grace, mercy and love not torture. Religion has distorted and told lies about God as if he is is some crazed Tyrant waiting to pounce on anyone who makes a mistake. That’s not the God I know.

Sorry so long winded. But people need to see God for who he really is. I enjoy your blog, btw

  3. Mary Burgess says:

I believe you are speaking the truth about Jesus already having come the second time and that Bible prophecies have already been fulfilled… at first I was a bit reluctant because of all the prior teachings I’ve heard that contradict what you’re saying, but I’m starting to see the truth in what you write… and I want to better understand it so I can stand strong in the truth and have an answer for those who ask… especially about the “end times” and all the fear being loosed about 666, and how the world government is gonna destroy us, the end of the world, etc. I want to stand strong in the Lord ans be a beacon of hope in the midst of this crooked and perverse generation…

  4. Mike Gantt says:

    Mary,

The key point in what you have come to learn is that our Lord is faithful! He makes promises…and He keeps them. Know that in the darkest of your days He will be with you just as He promised. God never speaks in vain; He means every word He says.

As He says in Jeremiah 1:12, He is watching over His word to perform it!

    • Mary Burgess says:

amen… He is so very faithful… and I am so grateful that His Spirit really does lead us into all truth, and the truth SETS US FREE… so anything we’re hearing or believing that binds us up or causes confusion or discouragement, isn’t His truth, but some cheap imitation… thank you Lord.
