This Bible study reference builds on the existing NASB cross reference system. (I elaborate on this at the bottom of this page.)
Song of Solomon
The New American Standard Bible (NASB) cross-reference system is a profitable tool for studying the Bible. I am fashioning this cross-reference catalog as a supplement to it, not a replacement for it. This catalog goes beyond the NASB cross-references in the following ways:
- I show extensive verse connections here that the NASB is space-constrained to show. For example, there are over 20 quotations and allusions to Psalm 110:1 in the New Testament. There is not room in the margin for the NASB to show every cross reference of every verse, so I produce a list of all of them which can be linked at each citation (for an example, see Psalm 110:1 in this catalog).
- I show some verse connections here that, for whatever reason, the NASB cross-reference system omits. These connections can be added to theirs.
- I expect my work on this catalog to always be incomplete. I work on it only from time to time and I just don’t have enough of that time to complete the entire work. Nevertheless, I hope it will be helpful to you by adding cross references beyond what the NASB gives at least for some verses. In some cases, I include some or all of the cross-references that the NASB does have and in other cases I omit them. Perhaps one of you will have a desire to add to this work. Feel free to use anything I have produced here.
