The New American Standard Bible (NASB) cross-reference system is a profitable tool for studying the Bible.  I am fashioning this cross-reference catalog as a supplement to it, not a replacement for it.  This catalog goes beyond the NASB cross-references in the following ways:

  • I show extensive verse connections here that the NASB is space-constrained to show.  For example, there are over 20 quotations and allusions to Psalm 110:1 in the New Testament.  There is not room in the margin for the NASB to show every cross reference of every verse, so I produce a list of all of them which can be linked at each citation (for an example, see Psalm 110:1 in this catalog).
  • I show some verse connections here that, for whatever reason, the NASB cross-reference system omits.  These connections can be added to theirs.
  • I expect my work on this catalog to always be incomplete.  I work on it only from time to time and I just don’t have enough of that time to complete the entire work.  Nevertheless, I hope it will be helpful to you by adding cross references beyond what the NASB gives at least for some verses.  In some cases, I include some or all of the cross-references that the NASB does have and in other cases I omit them.  Perhaps one of you will have a desire to add to this work.  Feel free to use anything I have produced here.
