Who We Believe

Mark 16:14  –  “…He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen.”

John 17:20  –  “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;”

Acts 2:41 – “…those who had received his word…”  –  That is, Peter’s word.

Acts 10:40-41  –  “…to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.”

Acts 16:14 – “…a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul.”

Acts 22:18 – “…’…they will not accept your testimony about Me’.”  –  That is, Paul’s testimony about Jesus.

1 Corinthians 3:5  –  “What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed…”  –  Correlate with 2 Corinthians 4:5 below.

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 – “…the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.”  –  Paul is the one writing this.

1 Corinthians 15:3-11 – “…so we preach and so you believed.”  –  That is, Paul and the other apostles.

2 Corinthians 1:19 – “For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us…”  –  That is, preached by Paul and his co-workers.

2 Corinthians 4:5 – “For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake.”  –  Correlate with 1 Corinthians 3:5 above.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 – “For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.”  –  That is, Paul and his co-workers.

2 Thessalonians 1:10 – “…for our testimony to you was believed.”  –  That is, the testimony of Paul and his co-workers.

Hebrews 2:3 – “…After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,”  –  That is, by the apostles.
