What We Believe

Or “The Object of Our Faith”

1 Corinthians 15:1-2  –  “…the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-11  –  “…so we preach and so you believed.”

2 Corinthians 1:19  –  “For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us…”

2 Corinthians 4:5  –  “For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake.”

Ephesians 1:13  –  “…you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation–having also believed…”

1 Thessalonians 2:13  –  “For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.”

2 Thessalonians 1:10  –  “…for our testimony to you was believed.”

Hebrews 2:1  –  “…we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard…”
Hebrews 2:3  –  “…After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,”

Hebrews 4:2  –  “…we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.”

James 1:21  –  “…putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted…”
