Luke 12:42  –  “And the Lord said, ‘Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time?'”  –  In Matthew 24:45, we find a similar statement but with some of the words being different.

Luke 16:1-9  –  The most recent version of the NASB (1995) replaces the word “steward” with “manager.”  Prior versions of the NASB used “steward” just as the KJV does (see just below).

1 Corinthians 4:1-4 – “Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy…”

1 Corinthians 9:16-17 – “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel. For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.”

Ephesians 3:2 – “…the stewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you;”

Colossians 1:25  –  “Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,”

Titus 1:7-9 – “For the overseer must be above reproach as God’s steward…holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.”

1 Peter 4:10-11  –  “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.  Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies…”
