Curse, Cursed, Cursing

Mark 11:21  –  “…the fig tree which You cursed has withered.”

John 7:49 – “But this crowd which does not know the Law is accursed.”

Romans 9:3  –  “For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren…”

1 Corinthians 12:3

1 Corinthians 16:22  –  “If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed…”  –  The NASB has a marginal note on “accursed” which says “Gr anathema” – that is, the underlying Greek word is “anathema.”

Galatians 1:8, 9 – “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!”

Galatians 3:10  –  “For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.”
Galatians 3:13  –  “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”—”
