These verses speak generally to the subject of seed and how it works.

Luke 8:5  –  “The sower went out to sow his seed…”

1 Corinthians 15:35-38  –  “…That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies; and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else.  But God gives it a body just as He wished, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.”

2 Corinthians 9:10, 11 (alluding to Isaiah 55:10-11 below)  –  “Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness…”

James 3:18 – “And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”

Genesis 1:11, 12, 29  –  “…seedseedseedseedseedseed…”

Genesis 8:22  –  “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

Leviticus 19:19 (Deuteronomy 22:9)  –  “…you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed…”

Deuteronomy 22:9 (Leviticus 19:19)  –  “You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, or all the produce of the seed which you have sown and the increase of the vineyard will become defiled.”

Psalm 97:11  –  “Light is sown like seed for the righteous…”

Psalm 126: 5, 6  –  “…carrying his bag of seed…”

Isaiah 55:10, 11 (alluded to in 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 above)  –  “…furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater…”
