This is a subsidiary post of The Deeds of the Flesh.

Galatians 5:19-21  –  “Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensualityidolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factionsenvying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Titus 3:9  –  “But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.”  –  According to www.lockman.org, the Greek word translated as “disputes” in this verse is Strong’s 3163, which appears a total of 4 times in the NASB New Testament, and is elsewhere translated as “conflicts” (2 Corinthians 7:5; James 4:1) and “quarrels” (2 Timothy 2:23).
