There are two kinds of jealousy: a kind that is righteous and a kind that is unrighteous.
Godly Jealousy (Good Jealousy) – Godly jealousy is that which a man has for his wife, and that God has for His people. A man does not want to share his wife with other men, and God does not want to share His people with other gods. Godly jealousy wants what is its own.
Ungodly Jealousy (Bad Jealousy) – Ungodly jealousy is envious; it covets. It is linked to selfish ambition and strife. It wants that which belongs to others.
