Malice

This is a subsidiary post of Evil.

Contrasting post:  Good Will

Malice is “ill will” (though there is no occurrence of “ill will” in the NASB).

Romans 1:28, 29, 30, 31, 32  – “…being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful…”

1 Corinthians 5:8 – “…nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness…”

Ephesians 4:31  –  “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.”

Colossians 3:8, 9, 10, 11  –  “But now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, maliceslander, and abusive speech from your mouth.  Do not lie to one another…”

Titus 3:3  –  “For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.”

1 Peter 2:1, 2, 3  –  “…putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander…”
