An asterisk indicates an allusion to sincerity.

1 Corinthians 5:8  –  “Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

2 Corinthians 8:7-8 – “But just as you abound in everything, in faith and utterance and knowledge and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you abound in this gracious work also. I am not speaking this as a command, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity of your love also.”

Ephesians 6:5-8  –  “…in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ; not by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ doing the will of God from the heart.  With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men…”

*Philippians 1:18  –  “…whether in pretense or in truth…”  –  Paul has explained this distinction in the preceding verses (Philippians 1:15, 16, 17).

Colossians 3:22  –  “Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.  Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve…”

1 Timothy 1:3, 4, 5  –  “…instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies…But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”
1 Timothy 1:5 KJV  –  “…a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:”

2 Timothy 1:5  –  “For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you…”
2 Timothy 1:5 KJV  –  ”  When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee…”

2 Peter 3:1  –  “…I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder
