This is a subsidiary post of Authority.

Certain attitudes emanate from a resistance to, or outright rejection of, authority. Our society’s embrace of autonomy is an attitude that is against authority – at least against the authority of God. Yet we are creatures and, by definition, cannot exist autonomously. Therefore, to be against God’s authority is to be against reality.
Here are some verses that speaks of attitudes against authority.
Romans 13:2 – “Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed…”
2 Peter 2:10 – “…those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority. Daring, self-willed…”
Jude 1:8 – “…reject authority…”
Jude 1:11 – “…and perished in the rebellion of Korah.”
Deuteronomy 31:27 – “For I know your rebellion and your stubbornness; behold, while I am still alive with you today, you have been rebellious against the LORD; how much more, then, after my death?”
1 Samuel 15:23 – “For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD…”
Nehemiah 9:26 – “…rebelled against You, and cast Your law behind their backs…”
Psalm 2:1, 2, 3 – “…against the Lord and against His anointed, saying, ‘Let us tear their fetters apart, and cast away their cords from us!'”
Isaiah 2:2 – “…but they have revolted against Me.”
Isaiah 2:5 – “…as you continue in your rebellion…”
Isaiah 2:20 – “But if you refuse and rebel…”
