Bible Notes on “Son of God, Son of David, Son of Man”

The scripture references below go with today’s post of A Scriptural Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.

Mark 1:1  (In this verse, Jesus is called “the son of God.”)

Mark 10:48  (In this verse, Jesus is called “the son of David.”)

Matthew 11:28-30  (In this verse, Jesus describes Himself as humble – which explains, at least in part, why He chose to refer to Himself as the the son of Man more often than referring to Himself as the son of God or the son of David.)

Mark 10:45  (As the son of Man, Jesus’ mind was on serving, not on being served.  That’s humility.)

Any quotations of Scripture are taken from the NASB, unless otherwise noted.
