2 Samuel 7:13-16 – “He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever…Your house and your kingdom shall endure before Me forever; your throne shall be established forever.” – This promise from God to David through the prophet Nathan is echoed roughly 300 years later by the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 9:6-7 below. The “kingdom” about which God is here speaking is The Kingdom of God, whose king would be The Son of God. As for this everlasting throne belonging to the “Son,” see Hebrews 1:8 above as well as Isaiah 9:6-7 below.

Psalm 45:6 – “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever…”
Psalm 47:8 – “God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.”
Psalm 123:1 – “To You I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens!”
