2 Samuel 3:8 – “Then Abner was very angry over the words of Ish-bosheth and said, ‘Am I a dog’s head that belongs to Judah? Today I show kindness to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hands of David; and yet today you charge me with a guilt concerning the woman.'”
2 Sam 9:1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 – “Then David said, ‘Is there yet anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?’…And Ziba said to the king, ‘There is still a son of Jonathan who is crippled in both feet.’…David said to him, ‘Do not fear, for I will surely show kindness to you for the sake of your father Jonathan, and will restore to you all the land of your grandfather Saul; and you shall eat at my table regularly.'”
Job 6:14 – “For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; so that he does not forsake the fear of the Almighty.”
