Defining Faith

Acts 22:18  –  “…they will not accept your testimony about Me.”  –  Faith in Christ is accepting the apostolic testimony (Believing the Apostles Is Believing Jesus) about Christ.

Acts 27:11  –  “But the centurion was more persuaded by the pilot and the captain of the ship than by what was being said by Paul.”  –  Faith is being more persuaded by what the apostles have said about Christ and the truth than by what anyone else has said about Christ or the truth.  See Faith Is Being Persuaded.

Hebrews 11:1 –  “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”  –  See Faith Is Conviction.


2 Chronicles 20:20  –  “…put your trust in the LORD your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed.”  –  Trusting in God is trusting in those whom He has sent to speak on His behalf.  See We Believe God by Believing Those Whom He Has Sent.
