1 Kings 18:3-4  –  “…Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly…”

1 Kings 18:12  –  “…I your servant have feared the LORD from my youth.”  –  This is the Obadiah from v. 3-4 speaking.

Nehemiah 7:2  –  “…for he was a faithful man and feared God more than many.”

Psalm 61:5  –  “You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name”  –  Compare to Matthew 6:9 and Luke 11:2 above.

Malachi 1:6 – The NASB marginal note says that the underlying word for “respect” is literally “fear.”

Malachi 2:5  –  “I gave them to him as an object of reverence; so he revered Me and stood in awe of My name.”
