O you follower of Christ, upon what shall you set your mind?  That is, what shall you think about all day long?

Matthew 16:23  –  “you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.”

Ephesians 2:3  –  “…indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind…”  –  This the way your mind used to function.  It is the way most human minds function.  You are to set your mind on something – yea, someone – higher.  See Romans 8:5, 6, 7, 8 above and Colossians 3:2 below.

Colossians 2:18  –  “…inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,”  –  A “fleshly mind” and a “worldly mind” (see Jude 1:19 below) would amount to the same thing.

Colossians 3:2  –  “Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.”

2 Timothy 1:5 – “For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you…”

Titus 1:15  –  “…to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.”

1 Peter 1:13  –  “…prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on…”  –  Correlate with Ecclesiastes 10:17 and  Corinthians 10:17.
