Gratitude ought to be one of the most distinguishing characteristics of a Christian.  This is because we are able to recognize the many, many ways in which God has been generous to the human race.

Luke 17:16  –  “giving thanks”

Romans 1:21  –  “did not honor Him as God or give thanks”  –  Note the folly of ingratitude.  See this folly also in 1 Samuel 10:27 below.

2 Corinthians 9:12  –  “thanksgivings”

2 Corinthians 9:15  –  “thanks”

Philippians 4:6  –  “with thanksgiving”

Colossians 1:12  –  “giving thanks”

Colossians 2:7  –  “overflowing with gratitude”
