Jesus and the Prophets

This is a subsidiary post of Jesus.
It is also a subsidiary post of Prophets.

The Gospels show Jesus to be focused on, and behold to, the prophets of Israel.  He repeated spoke of them.  He characterized them as an example for Himself and for His followers.

Luke 7:16  –  Jesus was regarded as a prophet by the crowds.

Luke 7:39  –  That this Pharisee is struggling with the idea that Jesus was a prophet demonstrates the presence of the idea.

Luke 13:33, 34, 35

Luke 24:19  –  Jesus walked as a prophet of Israel.  That’s why He was acknowledged to be a prophet.
