Truth

Subsidiary posts:

Related post:  Sincerity  (I categorize “sincerity” as “related” to “truth” but not a “subsidiary post” because one can be sincere and still hold to a falsehood.  Our sincerity does not make our beliefs true, but our insincerity can taint our beliefs.  In this regard, see Hypocrisy, Pretense, and Disguise)

The godly want to know the truth; they will not stand for lies.  Truth is found in, and centered upon, Jesus our Lord (Jesus Is the Truth).

Seek truth that you may find it (Matthew 7:7).  Meditate on truth that you may keep it (Hebrews 2:1).

1 Timothy 2:7  –  If we needed assurance that the apostles were not lying, we have it in verses like this.

1 Timothy 3:15  –  In a world of lies, it is the body of Christ who holds up the truth as a torch in the darkness.
