Matthew 10:40

Luke 10:16

John 7:16  –  As Jesus’ teaching was not His, so the apostles’ teaching was not theirs.
John 7:17  –  As Jesus did not speak from Himself, so His apostles did not speak from themselves.
John 7:18  –  As Jesus sought the glory of the One who sent Him, so the apostles sought the glory of the One who sent them.

John 13:20

John 17:20  –  “their word” = the New Testament = the apostles’ testimony

Acts 2:42  – “the apostles’ teaching” = the New Testament = the apostles’ testimony

Acts 10:42  –  “He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify” results in the New Testament, which is to us “the apostles’ testimony.”

Acts 20:32  –  “the word of His grace” = the New Testament = the apostles’ testimony

1 Thessalonians 2:13  –  “the word of God heard from [the apostles]” = the New Testament = the apostles’ testimony

2 Thessalonians 1:10  –  “…to be marveled at among all who have believed—for our testimony to you was believed.”

2 Timothy 3:14, 15  –  “the sacred writings” for us = the New Testament = the apostles’ testimony

The apostles’ testimony is of how the Lord descended from on high, did His work, and then ascended on high once again (John 6:62; Ephesians 4:8, 9, 10).
