The scripture references below go with today’s post of A Nonchurchgoer’s Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.
2 Thessalonians 2:1 (The apostle Paul and the Thessalonians believers were looking forward to, and preparing for, something that occurred late in the 1st Century A.D. Because it did, we seek the same kingdom they did. The only wait, however, will be for our readiness; the kingdom itself is here in our midst and we don’t have to wait for it as they did.)
Luke 17:20, 21 (Just as the Pharisees could not see the kingdom of God in the time of Jesus, opponents of the kingdom cannot see it today.)
If you are familiar with the Bible, or if you want to hear more from it, you may want to read one of my other blogs: A Bible Reader’s Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.
