Bible Notes on “Faith and Conscience Are Essential to Each Other”

The scripture references below go with today’s post of A Nonchurchgoer’s Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.

1 Timothy 1:19  (Clinging to faith while rejecting conscience leads to destruction.)

Jude 1:4  (Grace that does not regulate behavior is not grace at all, but rather licentiousness – that is, unrestrained pleasure seeking.)

Romans 1:16-32  (In this passage, the apostle Paul describes what happens to those who reject faith in God.  It is a downhill path.)

Genesis 19:9  (Notice how the evildoers accuse anyone who doesn’t agree with them of being “judgmental.”  We see the same behavior in society today.  That is, those who live for pleasure condemn those who don’t join with them.)

1 Peter 4:3-4  (As in Genesis 19:9, those who pursue their own lusts malign those who do not.)

If you are familiar with the Bible, or if you want to hear more from it, you may want to read one of my other blogs: A Bible Reader’s Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.

Any quotations of Scripture are taken from the NASB, unless otherwise noted.
