The scripture references below go with today’s post of A Nonchurchgoer’s Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.
Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God… (This is the King James Version of this verse)
1 Corinthians 8:2 (The knowledge of God is a deep knowing. It is not supposition or conjecture.)
Psalm 25:14 (We can learn things by studying and listening to others, but it is also possible for God to directly make things known to us. This is what He did for Peter, as declared in Matthew 16:17.)
Matthew 16:15-17 (We can see here that God made Peter to know Jesus’ identity; it was not something Peter learned through human agency.)
James 4:17 (We defile our consciences when we do not act on what we know to be right. Thus, if we take the path of sin, we must repent if we are ever to get back on the path of the righteous.
