Bible Notes on “Don’t Try to Make Decisions Before Their Time”

The scripture references below go with today’s post of A Nonchurchgoer’s Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.

James 4:13-15 (Some people interpret this passage something like “If the good Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise,” but that’s a fatalistic view.  Rather, the passage is a reminder that the Lord’s will is that we, day by day, live in selfless love for others.  On this basis, it would be impossible to know well in advance how a business decision should be made.  One needs the specific context for that decision in order to know the right thing to do.)

Matthew 6:34

Luke 6:12-13
