The scripture reference below goes with today’s post of A Nonchurchgoer’s Guide to Jesus and His Kingdom.
John 12:24-25 (God doesn’t ask us to do something that He was not willing to do Himself. In other words, God practices what He preaches. Yet another way of saying it is that He preaches who He is and what He does. The great and mighty Creator of heaven and earth became a single human being, and from that lonely place as a single human being He led the recreation of His universe so that once again truth and love, not sin, would prevail. God became the grain of wheat that fell into the earth and died to itself that it might spring up and bear much fruit. He lost His life that He might find it again. He is the great example we should follow.)
