Bible Notes on “A Continuous Conversation with Christ”

2 Corinthians 7:2 (Step one in having an ongoing conversation with Christ is slowing down your own thought stream and making room for His.  In this regard see also Psalm 46:10.)

Romans 10:6-8 (Step two is to recognize that you do not have to strive to hear the word of God; it is near you.  Just let it come.  He will begin by constantly reassuring you of His presence, and His love for you and others.)

James 1:21-22 (Step three to keep the conversation going is to recognize that out of God’s thoughts will eventually come commands.  When those commands come, be sure to do them.  If you do not, the voice of God will grow faint to you because you are hardening your heart against Him.  He is not withdrawing from you so much as you are withdrawing from Him.)
