Bible Notes on “He Who Withholds His Name Does Not Want To Be Contacted”

     – Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13 are two New Testament verses that quote the Old Testament’s Joel 2:32.  All have their ultimate reference to the Lord Jesus, though implicitly.  The context of the Acts and Romans passages make clear that the resurrected Jesus of Nazareth was who the Holy Spirit had in mind when He prophesied through Joel hundreds of years before.

     – For a verse that explicitly mentions calling on the name of the Lord “Jesus Christ” see 1 Cor 1:2.
